“Working with Anna was an amazing experience for All-In Milwaukee. Her thoughtful approach was 'I do, we do, you do,' with personal support along the way. She provided a clear and effective process with ongoing coaching to team members. We were so grateful for the support she provided to develop team members’ writing skills, find their voice and complete important deliverables. I highly recommend Anna – she will tailor her support to your organizational needs and work alongside staff to develop their communication skills.”

“Anna's guidance and influence on my writing cannot be overstated. I love the gentle way in which she critiques my work and helps me to become more of who I am--she understands my voice, personal style, and tone in a way that is very refreshing. She doesn't stifle creativity or put her own bias onto anything. She simply suggests subtle ways in which my work can be better, which is truly the only way in which a creative person can thrive. One of the things I like the most about her is that she has loads and loads of education and training, but doesn't ever use it as a pretentious weapon. I always look forward to her feedback because it resonates in such a way that I'm still thinking about it days and weeks later. I'm so grateful to have met her and worked with her."

"Anna Floch Arcello had an amazing way of interacting with each student. She made each student feel as if they were her only priority, and took the time to make sure everyone felt as if they had a voice. She not only was an amazing professor, but an amazing mentor as well. Her work ethic is incredible, and I do not think any other professor [I have] will have the passion and love for teaching as great as she does.”

"Anna Floch Arcello was introduced to me by the leadership at my organization. I expressed that I would like to receive professional development to help improve my writing, and Anna came into my life. I can still hear Anna’s voice telling me that I am an excellent writer and to believe in myself. Anna helped me to create a few short and long-term goals that would go on to help me communicate my messages better. She also helped me recognize the minor grammatical and punctuation pitfalls I was experiencing and gave me strategies to organize my time and focus on working more efficiently and effectively. Anna was sensitive to my new role as a scholar advisor with the organization, and our work has empowered me to work toward my big-picture goals, even if it is a little at a time. She will push you to be great and we all need someone to bring out our greatness. Her passion for this work and helping people communicate, lead me to look forward to our weekly meetings. If you want to improve your writing, confidence, and to achieve your communication goals, consider hiring Anna."

"When I began my fledgling career as a college writing instructor, I was lucky enough to find Anna as my pedagogical mentor. Anna guided me, along with a small cohort of other writers and new college writing lecturers at UMass Amherst, into the unfamiliar terrain of the college writing classroom, and she did so with a rare ethic of care and empathy. Under her guidance, we developed demonstrably helpful writing pedagogy practices—but beyond the usefulness of her writing and teaching expertise, Anna facilitated our meetings with a focus on our collective growth. This close attention to our work as a group went a long way; nurturing our sense of belonging in the large institution where we worked, Anna’s guidance bolstered my pedagogy, my writing practice, and my sense of connectedness in the world. In turn, I found myself applying these same principles of connectedness and mutual growth in my own writing classroom. I still attribute a great deal of my teaching success to Anna’s mentorship, as I now enter the writing classroom ready with ample practical resources and an ethic of care for my students’ lives and writing."

"As a professor I regularly teach my graduate and doctoral students about the importance of personal narratives and storytelling in counseling practices. Prior to Anna’s involvement in my classes, my students were exposed to very complex trauma material from a two-dimensional lens. Teach, show, do…It was effective but not enriching. With Anna’s guidance I was able to understand how, by adding a creative writing experience to my classes, my students could add a depth to their level of understanding. The opportunity to reflect on the intersectionality of creative expression and trauma is an experience I could not bring to my students on my own. In addition to Anna’s presence for my classes, she brings the experience of being a highly trained educator who is comfortable with a wide range of diversity. Anna holds sacred spaces for her personal growth in the areas of cultural humility and is consistently engaged with material that demonstrates her desire to grow and meet the needs of her clients in every dimension. On a personal note, Anna has become very important in my life. Anna naturally supports her relationships by holding a generous space for individuals and collectives to gather, share and process, with the goal of experiencing the opportunity to grow in relation to our own narratives."
